The Compton Verney estate was sold by auction on 25 June 1929 to George Henry Morgan & Mr Wilson. The second Lord Manton immediately bought back the house with surrounding grounds and the central portion of the estate.

This is a photo of Gita Lamb nee Kirchholtz wife of Samuel Lamb. She was born c1888 in Weisbaden, Germany. She moved to Cheshire England following her marriage to Samuel Lamb. They had three children: Erica, Clive & Rosemary. Gita Lamb died in 1956 and is buried at Kineton, Warwickshire.
